Exploring the history of the groove

“Let’s have Another Cup of Coffee” by Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians

“Let’s Have Another Cup of Coffee” was originally written for the 1932 musical Face the Music by Irving Berlin and is recorded by Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians with vocals by Chick Bullock with the Three Waring Girls. It’s intention was to encourage the people at the time to look on the bright side, because times were getting increasingly hard.

Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians were the best selling band at their record label, although later in 1932 Fred Waring decided to quit recording. At the time this song was recorded, Chick Bullock was in the height of his career. Although the song is not extremely well known, it is still featured today, showing how much of an impact it had and still has in society.
