Exploring the history of the groove

“All Shook Up” by Elvis Presley

The song “All Shook Up” was composed by Otis Blackwell and recorded by Elvis Presley in 1957. I would say this began the peak of Elvis’ career and this song hit it out of the parks. “All Shook Up” was released when Elvis was on a hot streak with his songs hitting number one on the charts left and right. “All Shook Up” became so popular that so many other huge artists did their own covers to it. Whenever I think of Elvis, this is the song that first comes to my mind. My dad is such a huge fan of Elvis and always has been and he loves this song because it is so catchy and is such a rock and roll song. With Elvis being known as the “king of rock and roll” the song “All Shook Up” suits this role perfectly. The song title came from several different ideas from Blackwell and Presley however, the song is all about love and how it makes you feel inside.
