Exploring the history of the groove

“home of the blues” by Johnny Cash

Johnny Cash is an icon of American country music.  Johnny Cash is considered the best selling music artist of all time.  Home of the Blues was recorded just three years after Cash was released from the United States Air Force.  Home of the Blues was seen on Johnny Cash’s album, Sing the Songs that Made him Famous.
Johnny Cash said Home of the Blues was a name of a record shop in the city of Memphis that he always liked.  Him and co writer of this song decided to write a song about it. This rock/folk track was American classic.  Many popular bands, such as Owl City, created their own mix to this song.  This goes to show the impact that Johnny Cash left.
